User Development Fee at Airport from Tuesday

A new fee is being added to the flight tickets involving the Vizag airport from June 15th. New tickets will be charged Rs.150 extra as a User Development Fee to all passengers except infants, military etc.

The existing customers with tickets will have to pay the extra fee at special counters setup. Be sure to plan ahead and leave early as there will big lines at these counters at least for a couple of weeks.
The fee will be in effect for 15 years as per the Airports Authority of India.

We hope the airport in Vizag is developed and made into a 24 hours operating airport and a truely international one. In that case , the UDF can be justified, but without any major improvements to the flight services, the UDF is just another burden on passengers visiting our city.
